Radio Frequency Connectors , are designed to work at radio frequencies in the multi-megahertz range. RF connectors are typically used with coaxial cables and designed to maintain the shielding that the coaxial design offers. They are used with coaxial cable to provide screened connections. These coaxial cable connectors are used in a number of areas whether to carry RF or Radio Frequency signals or just to provide a much higher level of screening than would be possible if more ordinary open connectors were used.
