MEAN WELL SP-500-24 Switching Power Supply-Used (24V, 20A)

The MEAN WELL SP-500-24 is a well-known, enclosed power supply ideal for A/V and LED equipment, and especially industrial applications requiring reliable operation, thanks to its excellent ±0.5% load regulation, and its constant current limiting overload protection, which makes it perfect for high inrush motors starter currents.

The SP-500-24 converts full-range 100-240 VAC inputs to three consistent outputs at 24V with wide-range adjustable 20-26.4V range, delivering up to 20A. It delivers a superior rated 480W output power with a PFC function that enhances the overall efficiency (up to 85.5%) and minimizes harmonic distortion.

This magnificent power supply contains a remote control feature that allows the power supply to be turned on and off using an external signal by connecting the R.C. pin and R.C.G. pin. One can use a switch or a relay to connect and disconnect the R.C. and R.C.G. pins, allowing consumers to control the power supply remotely. It also has two NC pins for control signals.

The SP-500-24 also contains a remote sense function that can sense the actual voltage at the load (by -S and +S pins) and modify its output to ensure that the proper voltage is delivered, even if the voltage was dropped on output.

This AC/DC, standard-sized SP-500-24’s built-in fan activates when the temperature reaches 50°C and switches off when it drops below 45°C guaranteeing long-term and fault-free performance in demanding temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C. Additionally, it will shut down to protect itself from overheating and potential damage if the temperature exceeds 70°C.

In addition to the advanced protections such as overload, over-voltage protections (with automatic recovery), over-temperature, and short circuit protections, it is certified by UL60950-1, EN61000-3-2, and EN61000-4-2, allowing it to meet the worldwide energy requirement.
